"Only moderate Dems can win in red states" is a logical outgrowth of "only moderate Dems are endorsed and supported in blue states." And by "moderate" I generally mean "already rich." There aren't many states where affluent liberals are plentiful enough to go "wow I really like this fellow rich Dem"
Then, when a handful of those politicians graduate to the federal level, they get reliably re-elected (who's going to challenge them without getting ostracized?), build up lots of seniority on committees (bc national Dems are beholden to seniority), and think they have the way to win everywhere
The problem with living in one of the few reliably blue states is that moderate status-quo conservatives know they can't win with an R next to their name, so they run as Democrats and get all the bribe money from major business interests (see: CA + tech, NY + Wall Street)
they'll run back basically the same offense, probably upgrade Hendricks's rotation slot, and throw 2-3 cheap-ish new relievers in there to see if any of them stick. surely this time they will "just make it into the tournament" via the last wild card slot
Once again, Livejournal had it all figured out back in the day.
I wonder how many people confuse the term bc of its dual meaning, like I really do think part of the fear of "critical race theory" is that some white people think it literally means "we are going to criticize your race"
continually throwing off the weighted blanket as your hype man desperately tries to console you and escort you offstage
You hate good tacos?
Thanks, I'll prob do at least one more Britpop-related album before year's end!
