Latin America: Uncovering the hidden human workforce behind AI

The rise of AI firmly depends on the painstaking work of thousands of humans. However, many often engage in repetitive ‘ghost work’ with precarious salaries.

Personally, as I hope is clear through my various public gripes on the subject, I believe generative AI has no redeemable qualities - it's a waste of resources that stumps our intellectual & creative development, & pirates the work of countless others. I have no patience for it.

It's only one layer away from being a mechanical turk right now.
