I do not want to say you cannot say you are on the left if you oppose *any* labor action (e.g. cops doing unannounced work slowdowns are bad) but you gotta have a better reason than "management says these jobs arent necessary anymore and these guys are already paid a lot!"
It's ok to think "hey it's more important to me that our ports be efficient in some abstract sense I assume automation will bring than to stand in solidarity with port workers on strike." This opinion is available to many ideologies Just not okay to think this and also say you're on the left!
