We have fiber in most villages in Priorat and others are the same, but water is a huge issue. For the last six months one village has had their drinking water trucked in. Also, social life and culture takes a huge hit in the villages.

The water situation is getting worse by the day and no amount of future desalination plants will solve a problem created by over five-thousand pig farms, turist massification, and a water voracious chemical industry. Badly hadled at all level.

I moved (many years ago) from London to a small village in a very rural part of France. No pubs, clubs, cimemas, theatres, galleries, but a social interaction that was far richer than anything I had experienced in London.
