Hmmm - have you been to Saint City Catering? (In the previous Creators Space spit.) Chef Guillermo cooks up tasty food. Very non-Sysco.
That is an AMAZING movie and I am not ashamed to admit I own it on DVD.
True, but I am not dinging any restaurant for doing what they have to to stay around at this point. *sobs in frustration at several favorites closing*

I don't go to City House for the food. It's about the view and/or as a pit stop along the trail. After years of nothing being there, I accept the offerings. Also, they have to pull the kitchen facilities off-season or during flooding, so it's a give-and-take.
@frederickmelo.bsky.social - you got any info on this? Because this is amazing news!
If scientists were Pokรฉmon, Gish Gallop attacks would be "Super Effective!" on us, because we get stuck correcting each bit of misinformation spewing out of our opponent's mouth... which is why creationists use it so extensively. It "buries in bullshit" anyone committed to factual accuracy.
The debate technique of telling lies quickly, shamelessly & confidently comes from creationists, and it has a name: the Gish Gallop. Vance has perfected it. www.scientificamerican.com/article/trum... by @leafwarbler.bsky.social ๐งช
A dishonest creationist debating tactic shouldnโt go unchallenged in American life. Or in national politics
I think they over-trained him - apparently Buttigieg was one of his prep team members. Pre-VP candidate would have said it but now it's about *a strategy*. Except you can't use a traditional debate strategy against someone who lies like Vance.
