Same! The last mini-series was maybe the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. That "Captain Trips" section is the most cinematic thing possible and everybody keeps screwing it up!

Three seasons. Season one, 12-15 episodes, Captain Trips. Season two, 8-10 episodes, On the Boarder. First episode is the ol' emergency room blues, Trashcan gets one, ends with Harold's betrayal. Season three, six episodes, The Stand. Call it a night.

What, you didn't like that the slow-then-horrifying-fast collapse of America that deserves its own season was shown through a few radio signals while Stu Redman played chess in a bunker?
