It's deeply disappointing that Labour are taking the line that they are. I was hoping for better. However, I think the language surrounding the issue will become less toxic now the Tories are gone. Hopefully, that will mean that people will not obsess about trans people so much now. Hopefully.

I don’t think the media-adjacent professional TERFs like Sonia Sodha have got the memo yet. It would also help if Streeting didn’t seem so keen to throw trans people under the bus. If things don’t improve I’m seriously considering leaving the country altogether in a few years.

And yet, in the week of the election, when Starmer could have been speaking about the economy, the NHS, the environment, COVID, Brexit, war in Europe, EU relations, or even just the weather, he chose to tell us instead that Labour are the Stop Trans People Widdling Party. The brain rot goes deep.

I don't think so, it's less extreme, but the language from Streeting is every bit as toxic. They have a transphobe problem in their ranks, it may not be as overt as the Tories, but it's a real problem
