It's a very basic point that, in a liberal society, we (should) expect even young children to understand. But it fuels an enormous proportion of the horrific, immoral takes on here and in the real world. You shouldn't conflate a group of people with their worst members.

Yes, some people marching for Palestine are anti-semitic, support Hamas, and celebrate their atrocities. But they are a SUBSET of a larger group. Many supporters of Palestine hate Hamas. Many Palestinians are apolitical and are just trying to survive.
