Yep I have exactly 1,000 hours in ESO over the years, but every time I come back, I get sick of it after a month or so. I want to want to play it, but it constantly fights against itself.

Same! I think I was close to 2k? and realized, "Actually, I hate that I have to pay for all this stuff, this is CRAZY" and quit. I often fondly look back and wish things were otherwise wrt the monetization, but alas...
