Interesting! The 1911s doesnāt usually have a 21k nib. Could it be that you got a 1911L instead? That one has a 21k, and it looks the same aside from being larger.
If you contact TWSBI they will generally send you a new part in the mail. Often for the price of shipping.
There was a legit problem with them at the start, but that was ages ago. The Vac 700 and the first 5xx-series would crack regularly. I think they've got that handled these days. I have a whole bunch and no problems at all. They're some of my most reliable pens.
It's an unboxing video! And of course I have to test things, too. Check out a new Diplomat Aero, a new Nahvalur Eclipse retractable fountain pen, and more! (I have an affiliate code for Atlas Stationers that saves you 10% and sends me some store credit, too! "inkdependence" at checkout.)

What. Iāve had YouTube Premium for a long time, so I never see any of that stuff. Sounds wild.
Good news! The Eco hardly ever cracks! (And none of my TWSBIs have cracked in years and years.)
Ugh. If only we could pick what ads go in our videos.
I bet their acrylic pens can be eye droppers. Just put a little silicone grease on the threads at the section and the nib unit and itāll probably be fine. And hold a on of ink.
The FB fountain pen groups are generally not great.
And the Signo is an excellent gel pen. I especially like the 207 Plus, but it may have a different name in non-US markets. Iāve got a video on those, as well:
