Just to be crystal clear, my comment "maybe they nicked it" was in reference to my own experience of left behind stuff, not yours. I didn't mean to make any implications about... well, anyone, really, but I assume it might have sounded bad.

I don't have a lot to be proud of. Not a lot of awesome decisions made, no great contributions. My history on the stock market contains some 99.8% loss events, and I am fat, bald, and ugly. However, I can't resist being joyful about the fact that I never bought a Tesla.

We've got this neat foldable aluminium stepladder thingy of pretty high quality, left behind by a contractor. They didn't even do a bad job, and we asked them repeatedly to come get their stuff, but... but now it's ours :-) Silver linings. ;-)
