Enjoy your trip!
Windblue Guilders (ウインドブルー・ギルダーズ) is another potentially interesting one. A "marine fantasy" modeled after open-world games, it attempts to support a broad range of player activities, including fishing, base-building, cooking, crafting, and exploration. Full marks for ambition at the very least.
Mechanically, Icerink Rivals (アイスリンクライバルズ) is probably the one I'm most looking forward to digging into. Inspired by the hit manga Medalist, this two-player RPG uses a combination of dice and cards to simulate the intricate technical complexities of competitive figure skating.
Game-wise, it's a reasonably crunchy sci-fi RPG with an emphasis on ship management and fleet battles. Rossian-tea (グループ・ロシアンティー), the developers, have kept a steady drip of new scenarios, ships, and suchlike going for the last half-decade, so it'll be interesting to see how it shakes out in play.
The Jet-Black Ocean (漆黒の大洋) box is one of the funkier indie RPG packages I've seen in a good while, packing an assortment of 3D-printed starships, action cards, whiteboard markers (plus eraser), and a USB drive with game rules and an introductory scenario into a handy carrying case.
Easiest way to weed out the folks with any ethics or self-respect up front.
We just had the pleasure of working with Ella on Dates & Wires: Augmented Edition. Beyond some fine writing, she's also contributed a lot of insight on the marketing and promo end - definitely give her a holler if there's an opening on any of your projects.
I honestly can't wait for the day when some bright spark figures out a way to create AI replacements for upper management. Just program the thing to make the dumbest, most obvious cost-cutting moves in any given situation and call it a day - chances are nobody will be able to tell the difference.
This is why they ended up hosting fake AI-generated "interviews" of actual employees on their company website instead of just taking the twenty minutes to talk to the people in question and writing their answers down - there was nobody left to do even that... but they did have a ChatGPT account!
