Far be it from me to tell y'all how to live but I recently saw a post that was like "Is there a mutelist for all the artists on Bluesky? I wanna scroll my feed without looking at a bunch of comics and drawings and stuff" and I swear to god I have never encountered a desire so thoroughly alien to me

I 100% agree, my only issue (before I finally followed enough people and muted the right words and pressed "see less" enough) there was TOO MANY art posts of straight up porn and I didn't feel safe to use the app in public. Luckily now it's a lot less

On the one hand, I can’t imagine wanting to block ALL artists. On the other, I (and it seems many) were greeted with a Discover feed of nothing but big breasted furry & anime pictures & it took days of marking “see less of this” to make it decrease an appreciable amount, so I kinda get it.

some people have zero interest in seeing anime titties or furry art, which is definitely like 70% of the discover feed when you first make an account

Yeah that truly bizarre. What do they want to see? Feels like such a bland existence.

I've seen some too but in my experience they only complain about NSFW / suggestive art. Which is definitely a valid desire. I wouldn't want to have a scantily clad girl pop up in my feed while in a train for example.

Don't want anything to distract from thier boiled shredded chicken breast and tepid tapwater. Since it's Sunday they might even deign to add a grain of salt to the water before they boil the chicken.

if they don't want to see art, simple solution would be go back to shitter as it lay dying.
