jan 6 was every bit as horrible as it looked and i have nothing but derision and contempt for people who downplay it

the evil vibes descending on DC were so intense that i went to the beach for the day. i didn’t want to be in the DC suburbs watching the whole thing unfold on TV, not able to do anything. i could feel the vibes days before it happened.

Mood. I had to watch it from my phone and I was messaging people throughout until I ran over my data and lost contact with everyone instantly. Felt like the world was ending. Will haunt me forever.

I lived less than a mile from the Capitol on 1/6. When we saw it start, we each packed a bag and threw them in the car, in case we needed to get out of dodge. Just a horrifying time.

Rep. Andy Kim — soon to be Senator Andy Kim — just gave a great speech reminding the citizenry he quietly picked up so much of the mess made by Trump's mob on January 6th.

“It’s a room that I love so much. ... It pained me so much to see it in this kind of condition,” the New Jersey Democrat said.

I understand why people went through Trump Scandal Fatigue but it is about seventy thousand times worse than Watergate and it is a blight on the nation that he is still a viable candidate for anything but prison

Jan 6 happened literally in my neighborhood. The day itself was horrible and frightening, but the 17,000 national guard troops stationed everywhere for a month after was IMO just as traumatizing but in a diff way. Walking past whole groups of heavily armed and armored guys just to go to the store...

We seem to have memory-holed watching in real-time as cops opened barricades and waved rioters in.

The way I felt my entire BEING go cold at the sight of that gallows and that dude in tactical gear with the damn zip cuffs. I am certain that if they'd gotten their hands on anyone, we'd have had gorramn executions on national television. I still have nightmares about it on occasion, tbh.
