listen, raising kids is hard as hell but then are moments like this evening when i was sitting with my son, and he was leaning back on me and telling me about his day, and when it was time to say his favorite part, he paused, thought for a moment and said “right now is the best part of my day.” 🥹
I showed my youngest that you could call fireflies with a penlight once (Yes, I'm penlight old), and he said "You're magic, Daddy!". He's finishing up a psychology degree right now, and he no longer thinks I'm magic, but he still loves his dad.
It’s amazing how kids can simultaneously be the most exasperating and the most heart-melting little wonders.
Sweetness.
Treasure the moments. The "hard times" will never be as "hard" as the good times are "good." Promise. 🌷
me and my 16yo in the car today on the way to go get sushi for a treat: singing corny disco and beatboxing and laughing our asses off at our own nonsense me: uhhh we might be related her: nah I dunno *cracks up laughing* every day of this is gravy, I’m lucky she even talks to me ❤️🔥
So sweet!
Love this!
