i think that if you see an anonymous account on a bot-ridden social media network say something that specifically confirms your worst intuitions and fears about your political opponents or rivals, then you should consider the possibility that what you’re reading and reacting to isn’t authentic

I think there's an important distinction here between purely anonymous accounts and pseudonymous. I generally think the former should be entirely ignored on basically all levels. But the latter you can get to know every bit as well as a non-anonymous real person you don't know irl.

The Republicans printed and waved "Mass Deportation Now" signs at their convention. Trump talks about deporting 22MM and it will be "bloody." How much more "these guys want to do another Holocaust" does it have to get before my worst fears are valid?

So democrats should not believe anything being said about trump and They shouldn't believe anything said about democrats?

Trump is a dangerous fascist. The most distinguished academic experts in fascism are all sounding the alarm that Trump and MAGA are fascist. Timothy Snyder, Jason Stanley, Ruth Ben-Ghiat and numerous others are all openly saying this is fascism and warning us. I’m going to believe them.
