This chapter on surrender as a "productivity junky" rings so true. I remember it very clearly as one of my core moments in life, 12 years ago in the chapel at the Royal Free. It was really peaceful, I recommend

Went to a council scrutiny community event today, it was quite full on. I think what it made me realise most is that teachers honestly are the best. I am deducting this from contrast. We are amazing at meticulously planning, directing groups of people and most of all: communicating.

First day back for me today, Inset, after 4 hours being talked at (informatively!), I had to go to my classroom for a quiet lunch. Is this what it's like for the kids? They used the phrase "a sense of belonging" a lot today, I do like it. I think I belong on an accessible beach ⛱️ though
