I helped launch a grassroots esports merch website and service with level1. I haven't talked to level1 about this but i hope to help get some merch shops for splatoon majors and have many artists contribute designs!

Being oversaturated fundamentally is the problem, and I wish we did better at focusing on the larger stuff and making sure everyone could keep up with lans/major events

I’m not talking about for players I’m talking about for viewers. Both of these are major events and deserve time in the spotlight and it takes away viewership from one to have the other run at the same time (ignoring the fact I was wrong about 20XX bc I had the date wrong)

I also wish anyone besides dapple had been running the major league bc their promotion and general management of the event has been terrible. The biggest league in the game this year should not be getting less views than Low Ink #172

I genuinely despise the way we just run events and announcements over each other in this community. Why are we running 20XX finals & Vancoral on the same day?? Why the hell did we announce SAC over top of all of this? Every one of these things should have been their own day, what are we doing

Just generally talking about how now that content is done everyone is gonna stop playing and that people are going to leave en mass since there is nothing to look forward to

I wish people would stop doomposting about the Splatoon community dying. IPL and Dapple were founded after content was done for S2, it’s when the majority of the biggest content creators in our scene started making content. And that was during endgame S2, which is the worst point of the seires
