Anyone ever work with PlatformIO doing microcontrol development in VSCode? I like having VSCode to write the code but it feels so much more... manual I guess than Arduino IDE? Should I stick it out or move back?

I moved to VSCode/platformio but for 8 bit level (avr). Will probably use it for 32 bit later. What do you feel is lacking? The new Arduino IDE is based on Intellij (iirc) which is better than VSCode for static languages beyond C, imho, but for C I don't feel I'm lacking anything with it.
