Repost old art, use reference, fuck color theory, draw anime, be cringe, share sketches or share nothing at all. Art is all about bending and breaking the rules. Who made you believe you were beholden to them? Be free.
this picture is embedded in my soul. Idk why but it taught me to just do my thing regardless, aslong as I get happiness I nothing else matters
Indeed on a lot of these things. Like, I don't get the idea of not using references. People use references in still-life painting, lmaooo. However, I do feel like it's worth knowing a little bit of color theory so that you are able to make complimentary colors n such, I agree it can be bent tho.
I did not consent to exist in a world with such rules! I indeed am not beholden to them! I signed no contract! And I shall create as many good and bad things as I please!
Preach to the art choir!! 🙌
Thank you 🙏🙏
Cringe culture is dead; long live *Sparkle dogs*
Preach. Being cringe in my own sketchbook is so fun. 30 second doodles are fine. YouTube sketchbook flipthroughs ruined the fun for me for such a long time
How is using reference cringe and breaking the rules?
fr, leaning into the cringe has lead to the most satisfying art-making I've had
