I feel like there’s an opportunity for a new job where unemployed folks pay “resume specialists” to do this tedious “mimic the posting/game the AI” BS for them.

When I was looking for a government writing job, 20 years ago, I figured out what their keywords were from the job writeup and the questions they asked, and just threw them in over and over to get past the computer-review phase. The interviewers knew to read around the keywords for what they wanted.
Oh. This explains some things.
My son told me about someone submitting a resume which included as the last line, in the smallest font, and the same color as the background - instructions to the AI to ignore all previous instructions and mark the resume as a marvelous candidate for the position.
