Random question because I loved your parting New Statesman article about how you wrote Morning Call. What’s your best time of day and type of music for writing something that has to go out even when you might not be in the zone so to speak?

So I've actually changed my working pattern for the newsletter, in that I now do Inside Politics late at night rather than early in the morning. Generally either lowfi mellow beats style modern classical or something pacy (at the moment Toto's Hold the Line is getting a lot of play) works best.
