Chronic pain leaves you in a place where you just accept some level of pain and the related limitations as normal, you forget that you are suffering at some point if you are lucky.

Even forgetting isn't great. At some point I switched to ignoring the pain and ended up not realising I was in so much pain and wondering why my mental health took a huge nosedive.

Exactly. I was just talking to someone the other day about how we don’t even remember what it was like to not be sick and in pain. Maybe that’s a blessing. If you can’t remember it you don’t know what you’re missing?

My Baseline is around a 7. Last time I wasn't in any pain was almost 20 years ago.
