That’s happened at my work. People just use it to make trash graphics. Current best/worst was an entire graphic slide in a weird comic book style where all the people’s faces were melting. None of the text was real letters. We were supposed to be impressed that it took two mins to throw together?

If bluesky wants to apply a "rude" label so bad, they could stick it on people who screenshot 600 words at a time and expect you to read that shit on your phone without alt text.

Swords & Sorcery Game for the blind

That dude was Milton, later i made a Sword & Sorcery game for him that was sound only and keyboard operated (turn based) It used spoken menus and sound effects Got downloaded a lot by his community for a bit

my wife can’t eat gluten or dairy. i can’t tell you how nice it is to walk into a place where she doesn’t lose access to 75% of the menu. to say nothing of how much we love places where the menu is always friendly—no one feels like a burden & we don’t feel shut out. is how i feel about alt text.

There thing that finally flipped the switch on our end was realizing "we spent 4 hours on this dumb piece. We can spare 45 seconds to describe it" and also "nobody is going to know that's supposed to be a cat"
