Captain Games has the best demo table of SPIEL. And Duck &Cover looks like a more dynamic Golf variant (no hidden cards, and you move or stack them).
Having a snack with designer Francesco Testini, and Kramer & Kiesling do it again with Up or Down, a cards-with-numbers game that feels fresh and is fun!
Essen SPIEL is beginning! I‘ll be demoing the new edition of my game with Bernd Eisenstein today at 6 pm at booth 3-J110. Stop by!
Don‘t forget Kinds of Kindness and Poor Things! I‘ve preferred stories about regular people lately, like Ghostlight and Sound of Metal
Tri-Ba-Lance by Michael Sohre (1995) is one of those beautiful games from Theta that is architecture on the table. It reminds me of works by Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid in the nearby Vitra Design Campus.
New edition of Pandoria coming to Essen SPIEL! I've never grown tired of playing this game, and that says a lot, considering how I'm usually ready to move on, once a game of mine is published. Plus, it was such a fun co-design with Bernd, so--memories!
Yeah, but it will probably be even more packed than usual, with Thursday being a national holiday. So I'm glad we could meet up in Berlin last Summer!
Essen SPIEL isn't really about all the new games for me--it's about meeting all the people--both old friends and new ones. Can't wait to see you there! If we don't have an appointment, I'll be at the SAZ booth Saturday from 10:00-12:00, Hall 3-X110 (with a funny prototype)
