I Love this cover Not sure I'll do a #SilverAgeComicsMonth this year on Bluesky, but this would be a good kick-off. Notice the simplicity, and that 'superpowers' are downplayed. I can feel Aquaman's Oomph. The circular composition is fluid, the colors bright, and no Superman or Batman either.

This made me curious about S & B on JLA covers. I looked at the Grand Database, and it looks like they don't appear on a cover at all until #19! One can also tell when Batmania struck, because he was featured on every cover for a couple of years.

Starro was the villain in the criminally underrated The suicide squad, which absolutely rocks and would’ve done better if not released during covid.

Really enjoyed the Starro in the last suicide squad flick.
