I'm stilled amazed at all the news organizations still on Twitter. You would think the extreme right-wing, white nationalist vibe would scare them away. Not even mentioning the other creepy stuff going on there. But besides Bluesky and Threads what other options are there?

The natural disaster feed has been good for the recent wild weather

I've found enough news presence to be informed about things usually within a few minutes. Most of the big boys have echo feeds here, + independent journalists Local and more granular reporting (say about given communities in the current disaster) has been hard to find in general, on or off Twitter.
