They have gas masks & goggles because you’ve tear-gassed protesters before. They have earplugs because you’ve used sound as a weapon before. They have tools to create barriers because you have taught them how to make them in their schools. You have shown them that you have no care for their welfare

Anyone who’s been in a demonstration in the last 20 years knows you need a kit. I have a kit. The kit exists because I’ve been tear gassed and had rubber bullets fired at me.

"oh but without those things the police would be super nice to them" Ha. They've seen what the cops do to those of good faith.

Man, I get that we can’t have free speech… I accept that. But tools? Even the crows get to use tools.

Their welfare was not a priority, so they learned warfare instead.
