I'm not sure if other people have experienced this but I've actually noticed a decline in people checking in, and I'm not sure how to read that. But it does seem to be an indicator that people are numb to it already. Pretty much anything can happen once that happens.

No one checks in. The professional cis folks I work with generally are horrified when the topic comes up and I explain how bad things are. They don't know, or are choosing not to know. My greatest allies though, consistently and almost without exception, are Black women.No one checks in. So many are stuck/hiding in the world of the algorithm. My post button there ceases to function when I attempt to post about this stuff.
someone asked how i was today. they hadn’t heard from me all week. i was like, “i had really long workdays & was up late a lot writing letters & trying to wrangle attention to the awful legislative week.” the response which last year would’ve been “what happened?” was basically “sux. anyways…”
