Woo hoo! Finished DR. ALASKA copyediting pass and now it's out the door!! You know what this means, right? The only time I truly deep clean or do house stuff is after I finish a draft or revision. So yup. Gonna caulk a shower.
Apparently I am knocking it out of the park over on Amazon Australia in the extremely sub-niche category of "psychic paranormal romance." So I've got that going for me. Woo hoo!! :)
Reviewing MS after copyediting Me: Ok, read it over and it's ALL DONE. Yay! Brain:>raises hand< What if you changed MC's entire motivation? Me:No, this is copyedit stage. No plot changes. Brain:It would be better. Me:No. Brain:What. If. Me: Me: Me:>turns on track changes, cracks knuckles< GODDAMMIT
I like where you're going with that. I mean, they're not idiots at all -- they're smart folks -- but I could make that work.
It's a gray area, in that some docs might treat friends or family members of friends. I have done that in rare instances but they're folks I am very comfortable with and vice versa. Here lately, though, I really do limit social activities with my own pts to chatting at public events, for example.
Any ideas about how I can gently and politely decline his FB request for my phone number as well as the likely subsequent kind offer to come over for a meal (with nice people who I really don't know)? Thoughts? Ideas? 5/5
