Yeah, think thats fair comment. Wood is the key, if we can get 3 tests out of him that will be really helpful. Atkinson shaping up to be a really key player as well. Not sure I buy that Bresnan was ever world class though, even in 2011- just very very good!
2010/11 was also the greenest ashes pitches in Australia possibly ever - allowed Anderson and Bres to do well. Since then they've been much flatter. Think thats why they're keener on Carse and Atkinson than eg Woakes/Sam Cook.
Hah, meant two world class players (although Swann didn't have a brilliant series even then). Bresnan only played two tests, Tremlett and Finn - much more Australia type bowlers - 3 each. I think Atkinson is the key. I feel he's likely to have a Woakes style impact in Australia, but hope for better.
