A reminder that no one owes you an explanation of why they don't drink alcohol. Don't force them to reveal a pregnancy, #disability#chronicillness, or other reason just because you can't stand getting sloshed alone, Janet. Maybe they just don't like drinking with you.

Wish more people were understanding of the whole not drinking thing. One time in Thailand I told somebody that I didn’t drink and they were like you don’t drink or eat animals that’s a very nobel thing. It was a change of perspective vs in the US where I’ve felt obligated to explain myself sometimes

It could even be something as mundane as not liking the taste. Not everyone like alcoholic drinks. Either way it's their right to choose not to drink alcohol.

this needs to be said more often, alcohol, food choices etc, people need to remember manners

Ah yes the life of a non alcohol drinker first the question about why you don’t then the label of boring followed by endless “hilarious” jokes about drinking and tales that invariably end with incontinence. On the plus side you do get to drive some nice cars. 🙂
