we operate under the ideal of unlimited energy everywhere, all the time. We need to reduce consumption and ensure equitable access globally not maximize electricity production just to fuel f'ing AI, which sucks anyways.

This is really making me reflect on @amywestervelt.bsky.social's great newsletter. That there isn't more pushback from the climate movement about these giant energy sucks shows how small and homogeneous it has become. I don't know when it started but certainly the silence around Gaza highlighted it
