Massey University are docking pay today for members in strike. If they wanna redeploy the saving to pay a living wage, that might make up for such a dick move #stopthecuts#TEU

Notice to union members sent by Massey: According to the strike notices issued by the TEU on 23 September 2024 and the PSA on 25 September 2024 the strike is a full stoppage of work, taking effect from 12:30pm to 4:30pm today. Our records indicate you are a union member, and these notices apply to all union members covered by the bargaining. On this basis, the university is suspending all TEU and PSA union members who are on strike as notified pursuant to section 87 of the Employment Relations Act 2000. Please treat this email as notice that you are suspended, effective immediately and until the end of strike at 4:30pm today, or earlier if the university is informed by the unions.
