Out of all the moments we had in this episode, this was the one that broke me hardest. Because Durin *was* about to march. That wonderful speech he gave about Dwarven loyalty to friends being their greatest strength. If this doesn’t get resolved between them I will riot.
You’ll never find a better Sauron than him. Never. He raised that bar SO high. It also now annoys me that we go from this beautiful, nuanced performance, to the flaming eyeball in the films. Oh and Benny-batch’s Necromancer. And as someone who loves the films a lot… that’s saying something.
No no no. We’re not calling them fans. Fans didn’t start the hate campaign. Call it what it is: Racists got upset that they included more women and POC in the cast, and rage-bait YouTubers amplified them. They do NOT speak for fans who’ve supported the show from the beginning. #RingsofPower
At Acme Comic Con Had a brilliant chat with Daniel Weyman earlier about Rings of Power and The Stranger. What a lovely guy! He loved my Harfoot cosplay and the Scraplet’s wee Tom Bombadil.
Game of Thrones (HoD), Silo, Star Wars, and just about every other TV show in the last decade seeing #TheRingsOfPower do night battles/action you can actually see…
Okay! London folks! Gimme recs for free stuff to do/places to see around the city centre. Bonus points if they open early cos I’m gonna have time to kill from about 8am maybe. Extra bonus if they’re short walk or near an Underground.
Transport sorted. I’m toying with the idea of taking a cosplay. If I had more time I’d do Míriel’s blue coral dress from s1, but as it stands I might just have to reuse the Harfoot outfit I’m wearing tomorrow to meet Daniel.
One thing I love about the first season of Bluey is that there will routinely be episodes that just sort of peter out, no larger moral reached, and the show is just, like, "Yeah, sometimes when you have kids, you just kinda lose the thread," and it WORKS. Genius TV program.
