This does get back to my Clusterfuckery Theory. Trump won because of sheer number of scandals, no ability to maintain focus (unlike gish gallop, in part because partly was unintentional. But I guess one lesson is, let’s give them something to talk about.)

There's certainly value in gish-galloping atrocities but the media's choice to cling like an attack dog to certain stories isn't brought down by there being other big news going on. MSM's obsessions are always a choice, and usually a bad and telling choice.
