A thought I had a while ago on which I'd be interested in your thoughts - should we pass legislation to reciprocalise the corporate veil? It seems unsatisfactory that the founders of a company get to unilaterally decide that you can't sue them for (indirectly) wronging you.

Perhaps the veil ought to be reformulated on a more "quid pro quo" basis, and apply only where the claimant is also a company - like a club/contract where everyone has effectively agreed not to sue each other's shareholders in exchange for the same.

Doesn't the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive/Consumer Protection from unfair trading regulations hold directors personally accountable if they treat consumers unfairly, mislead them or treat them aggressively?
