Even books-to-policy is rare. Since the 60s you only really have Death & Life, The Power Broker, The Next American Metropolis, The High Cost of Free Parking and maybe Human Transit that fit that bill I could be wrong, but Im not even sure if there are any posting-to-policy examples for urban issues

I kind of get what you are saying. He wrote ā€˜theā€™ book and has spent 20 years doing interviews and articles and bashing the point home non-stop. On the other hand it was only effective because he wrote a massive book that probably took 5+ years to research & write and could back up ever tiny point

I've found one! A classic K67 kiosk is still serving as a mini store for a local bakery. Agfa Optima 1035 Sensor / Kodak ColorPlus #believeinfilm#filmphotography

ā€¦.most ā€˜ride or dieā€™ or BlueAnon Dems have some understanding the party is not liked, Harris is not liked, and itā€™s not a problem the party machine cares to fix. Parroting Dem talking points is a way for a lot of people to try to cope. They wonā€™t be able to avoid that reality come early 2025 though

This is true. And a lot of that (I think) has to do with the fact that after this election support for the Dems is going to plummet when a lot of leftist/progressive types give them a vote to defeat Trump but then tell them to fuck off unless they get their shit togetherā€¦.

I donā€™t even know if itā€™s false hope. I think they just keep saying that because they know the party is losing supporters with its pro-genocide stance and they are trying their damnedest to cover up that fact with ā€˜Harris will be differentā€™ optimism. Deep down they also knows itā€™s failing.

I follow politics. I even replied to people who were live posting it last night. And this morning Iā€™ve already forgotten everything about the VP debate. Gone. Memory holed because it really doesnā€™t matter in the slightest. Maybe 2400 people at most actually care

Iā€™ve been drinking wine this entire time and even being joyfully buzzed I donā€™t think think is going well for Walz. So whatever they are on is clearly better than my gas station rosĆ©.

Only sickos are actually watching it in full (which is a saving grace for Democrats). I think the deciding factor will be how does this debate get remixed for TikTok and Facebook. This probably hurt Walzā€™s stance with progressives (already a tenuous hold for Dems). Overall, probably didnā€™t hurt Dā€™s

American guns are also behind a majority of urban gun violence in Canada. US gun violence is 100% an American export
