As for the mechanics, players roll a d6 to investigate the world. How much they learn depends on the roll. 4 is full knowledge. 5 adds a record from the company database. 6 adds an anomaly. Records and anomalies lead to uncovering the cosmic horror.
When a character rolls for something related to their specialty, they get to add a second d6. And they have the option of risking body or mind and add the Change die as well. The highest die is the result. If the Change die was the highest, they compare it to their Change score, which starts at 1.
