Duffel Blog knocked it out of the park in 2016. And itā€™s still true in 2024. www.duffelblog.com/p/army-pt-un...

I canā€™t stand Billy Corgan, especially when he went on Alex Jonesā€™ show multiple times, but he said something that I tend to agree with: people do not care about facts. There is something stronger that is pulling them one way over another, even if itā€™s not true.

I donā€™t know if itā€™s just human nature or a sign of widespread depressive disorder, but it seems like people are more and more inclined to hear the things they want to believe rather be faced with facts and use logical reasoning. They want their narrative to be the winning one.

Honestly, I enjoy a good meme-bunking (e.g. Matthew Modineā€™s online feud with the Duffel Blog). However, weā€™re at a point now where people, and AI accounts, are propagating deliberate disinformation and yet a good percent of the population does not care that itā€™s false.

The Australian senate recently released a report into support for Ukraine. Overall, this is a quality report that describes many of Ukraineā€™s needs as well as Australiaā€™s capacity to assist. In my latest piece at Futura Doctrina, I explore the report in detail. mickryan.substack.com/p/australias...

Iā€™m not a civ-mil expert, so I will refrain from taking a position on this.
