Guess which hound got over her mortal fear of the sofa? I suspect this has cut my chances of getting work done this week by about 30%

Chronic Migraine makes you feel like there are two different versions of yourself, thankfully I got the version that can do more than lie on the sofa back today. Switching between the two is so very tiring. Picture of Vake Park in Tbilisi as a reminder of the better weeks.

I like that street dogs can just nap undisturbed in Tbilisi airport departures. I donā€™t like the fact that I just paid Ā£7 for the worst ā€˜cheese Borekā€™ I have ever eaten.

Went to Tbilisi, made a friend.

Back to Tbilisi tomorrow for the first time in five years. Bit worried I have forgotten all my Georgian (basic though it was!) I want iced coffee and borjomi at Kala, but Iā€™m not sure if it even still exists!

I am ambivalent about ā€˜awarenessā€™ projects given the state of the NHS, but for anyone with migraine the migraine trust & the national migraine centre are incredible resources. I have chronic migraine as a consequence of endometriosis & surgical menopause, getting proper treatment is still too hard.

Those of you who do editorial work with journals, how much (if any!) admin support are you provided with, and do you have any time from university hours ā€˜bought outā€™ by the journal? Iā€™m trying to figure out if there are any norms around this, and what they might be. Thanks!

Some family photos Iā€™ve never seen before came my way yesterday. My Grandma and Grandad at my Grandmaā€™s family home in the wonderfully named Cloonygormican, Roscommon. And the house now - sadly in ruins. Untangling some of this family history is next on my list, if I can only finish this book!
