We have our Open Evening on Thursday next week. We: Have a world map and various food. Visitors place them on the country they think they came from. Big OS map of our area. Visitors add a sticky dot to show where they live. Examples of pupil work and books. What other ideas are there? #geogchat

We put out 5 big questions for people to annotate e.g. it's ok to chop down rainforest if you need to feed your family, we don't do anything on migration because it just leads to media headlines but big questions are quite fun! Also do a quiz your parents based on #factfulness.

If you have some outside space close to your classroom, could some students be demonstrating a quick bit of fieldwork?

This is what we do: 1. A display matching your chat, e.g. curriculum outline. 2. Materials you use in lessons, e.g. maps, books, fieldwork equipment. 3. Student books. Not just Y7 but other year groups too. 4. Show a love for your subject. That’s it.
