It’s going to be so weird in the future when people are nostalgic for now.
Damn. Hope it doesn't get that bad.
People sitting around in care homes, listening to Dr dre and eminem. Then going to watch old classic movies in the TV room like, all of the marvel films.
My parents and grandparents never got nostalgic for WWII or the Great Depression. They were nostalgic for their youth.
Na’h, but no hard feelings, no one longs for the 1930’s either.
I know it’s inevitable but I definitely don’t look forward to it. The only way I’ll ever conceivably be nostalgic for now is if Trump somehow wins the presidency again, compounded with AI simultaneously going rogue on us. Definitely feels inevitable.
Seems pretty optimistic to think there's going to be a future.
The weirdest part of getting old is actually having lived through the eras people are nostalgic for and knowing they were dogshit, the nostalgic ones are just people with good childhoods
'hey remember that time when so much stuff sucked? yeah man, we had no idea it would suck SO MUCH MORE than that'
So grateful that I’m old enough to be nostalgic for the 80s and 90s🙏
