Note the money imbalance: there is no left wing version of Leonard Leo, and there are multiple Leo’s to counter. Groups like the Ford Foundation and Brennan Center operate at a fraction of the scale and do nothing to cultivate activists. It’s sad the far right takes this so much more seriously.
When people finally understand the stakes, I believe they will support 'liberal' (= honest) media with grassroots money But online media seems "free" and so people have forgotten that real, researched, fact-checked, truthful media costs money that is no longer paid by corporations.

Look, it's not just "taking it seriously." -We don't have that kind of money-. The REASON they have so much money is -because- they are BASTARD PEOPLE. If we were to accrue the amount of money they had, collectively, we would no longer be liberals/left. See.
