We joke about this but I distinctly recall that MTV did nothing but actually at music videos that night and I think it was the last time that happened.

The first edition of the Onion after 9/11 is one of the greatest pieces of American humor ever produced. When other humorists went sentimental, The Onion folks got angry - and found the funny in places others wouldn’t dare look.
Maybe it's just because I'm a hip-hop scholar, but "Yo! MTV Extends its Condolences" is making me lose it.
