The International Association of Firefighters, "by a margin of 1.2%," has decided not to endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential election. Vance and Walz both spoke at the IAFF's national convention in August (Vance got booed). The IAFF endorsed Biden in the 2020 election.

1/2 Former IAFF member & local officer. This surprises me & doesn’t surprise me at the same time. IAFF is a long-standing union (1918) & was formed with the help of Samuel Gompers of AFL; several early locals started originally as AFL locals. Very active PAC.

Imagine firefighters not being willing to endorse a black woman for president. I am SHOCKED I tell you, shocked. Assholes.

The maga ones are probably louder & meamer about their views. Shame.
