Reading Jedediah Berry’s new (incredible) novel, The Naming Song, and it's giving me a feeling I haven't had since I read (& loved) The Giver as a child. What it's about: "When something fell from the something tree, all the words went away. And the world changed."

My current writing projects feature - across all of them - mermaids, witches, alternate dimensions, devices for accessing said dimensions, underworld journeys, ghosts, aliens, & space. They are all - at once - alive in my head. Feels like the most exciting (and chaotic) party.
