I can't speak for all American Jews, but for me at least, a presidential candidate saying there's Good Jews (ones who vote for him) and Bad Jews (ones who don't) and if he loses the election it was "rigged" and he'll blame Jews, is a lot more concerning than some college students denouncing Israel.

Is this supposed to be funny? Surely fake but if true, what would be the humor in doing the exact thing Loomer wanted, giving her money to schill products, all so you can have a hit tweet? Congrats on subsidizing hate, maybe send Alex Jones some money as a joke next.

We are living in a golden age of shameless anti-democratic propaganda. Our institutions have largely failed to respond, and so in good neoliberal fashion, each of us is left having to be our own bullshit detector any time we engage with the news. Every person their own gatekeeper.

It just sucks that anyone who wants to complain about dumbass culture war shit gets paid a million dollars by Russia and anyone who wants to investigate corruption in a Sheriff’s Department has to be like “hey can you PLEASE send me five dollars for my newsletter I’m begging you”

the three kinds of people you meet in the NYT cooking app: 1) people who changed all the ingredients in the recipe 2) people who are mad at the people who changed all the ingredients in the recipe 3) people who shared the recipe with someone who stole their husband

A good simple base from which to start.
Added finely chopped mushrooms which I sautéed up front and removed, finely diced fennel and leeks next, sautéed and removed, then the butter and sausage.
White wine in to deglaze then a little stock and returned the vegs to the pan with some thyme, marjoram and oregano. Salt and white peeps to taste plus a few pinches of Aleppo pepper. Tossed with homemade garganelli and the cheese.
Nice.

I didn't have any olive oil, so I used butter.

And I didn't have pasta, so I used

spaghetti squash. We also didn't have any

parmesan, so I used sawdust instead. And

my store was out of sausage, so we

subbed some leftover dog food. Delicious!

This has been my go-to brownie recipe for 30 years, even after going to baking school! I agree that using the best cocoa possible makes a difference. These days, I use Callebaut. In the 80s, an acquaintence in Germany to whom I brought some of the brownies, and who considered herself a great cook, asked for the recipe but was never able to get it to work. She kept asking me what she was doing wrong and I was never able to solve her problem.
Eventually, she moved to the US and stole my husband!

The most charitable interpretation of Elon Musk thwarting Ukraine's attack on Russia's navy is a bad misunderstanding of war, susceptibility to Russian propaganda, and believing he, not states, should make these calls. Not the most reliable defense contractor for the US (or anyone) to partner with.

The U.S. Government Can’t Allow Elon Musk the Power to Intervene in Wars

The billionaire’s interference in Ukrainian military operations shows he’s a national security risk. No private citizen should have that much power.
