15 mins inland of Royan. Until 2021 we were frontline seafront near the top of the Gironde. I prefer this location, calm and quiet and not subject to the Atlantic tempetes.

Very nice. I can only imagine the tempetes in Gironde. We have the wind to deal with here. I've yet to visit the region, but my Mum, who was a massive Francophile, would always rave about how beautiful Île d'Oléron and the surrounding area is.
