📢 ALT TEXT PSA Game Devs. Quick nudge to say that adding alt-text to images and videos is very much the norm on Bluesky. Outside of the obvious accessibility/inclusion win, some folks have their feeds set up so your posts won't even show up on their feed unless it has alt-text Spread the word 👍🏻

It feels like alt text for videos isn’t working properly yet? I’ve written some, but they don’t show up once posted 🧐

Can Alt be added after posting?

Alt text gets indexed in search too.

alt text also has so much more text space for useful information. Like "Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy developed by Opus and Published by Marvelous" is going to eat up a lot of main text space but could be worked into the alt text easily.

And if you're forgetful or lazy about social media like me, you can change your settings so that you can't send that skeet *without* adding alt-text to images.

There is a setting, which forces you too add alt text before posting if you have pictures/videos! We have that enabled :)
